On Febuary 22, 2009, East Bay Fencers iin Oakland, CA hosted the National Senior Qualifers for Men's and Women's Team Epee. The MFA provided 2 teams - one men's, one women's. Our third team (Kaufman, Vidor, and Tully) was unable to compete because of injuries and vacation
The women's team qualified and also took the gold medal. Admittedly they were the only NORCAL women's team to show up but hey, sometimes showing up is what matters!
The men's team lost a mdal opportunity by two touches as time ran out, but qualified for the Nationals due to their ranking.
The MFA now has two teams 2 qualified for Dallas in July - great job!
