| Introduction to fencing course |

We offer 2 seprate classes for beginners (Beginner Class 1 & Beginner Clas 2). Each class is limted to 16 participants so please register early if possible. Every six weeks we'll start another set of classes. Participants will be scheduled for either our Tuesday or Thursday 4pm-6pm class. In addition, Saturday is open (12 noon to 3pm) for additional open fencing with all MFA members. Additional information can be found at Beginner Class 1 or Beginner Class 2. |
The Marin Fencing Academy will be open from noon to 4 on Sunday, March 2,2008. Here are are a few of the items on the agenda:
- We'll present the MFA organization - who's who, our goals, and how we plan to get there.
- Learn to fix and build your own blades. Bring your old equipment or new. We'll show you how to best maintain your equipment for maximum life span as well as how to fix them when they do break.
- Learn to direct. We'll discuss the rules of Foil, Epee, and Sabre and provide more insight into how a bout is directed.
- Open fencing
- Fencing movies
- Pot Luck dinner. We have access to the full kitchen utilities. Please come with your favorite dish.
